Class Descriptions:

Hatha Yoga helps us to realize our potential for health and self healing through the practice of physical postures (body) and awareness of the breath. Ha (sun) Tha (moon) refers to the opposition of movement of energy in the body. The postures, deeply centered in conscious awareness (mind),  awaken the student to a much greater sense of the body’s energy flow which, when combined with the utilization of the breath, brings the positive and negative energy flows within the body into balance. (Hence, body, mind, breath).
Based on traditional disciplines, the practise of Hatha yoga brings us closer to an understanding of our real nature and purpose.  Suitable for all ages.

Hatha  Basics/Beginner Yoga classes teach the  fundamentals of yoga alignment in the   postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) techniques and the principles of yoga practice.

These fundamentals provide a basis for growth and development which will guide the student through the various body alignments and postures to develop an integral understanding and awareness of their bodies in the poses while at the same time building strength, flexibilitiy and endurance.

Mullti  Level classes allow each practitioner to experience the poses according to thier level of ability, understanding and expertise.

Gentle/Beginner Hatha Yoga  classes are geared to address and accomodate specific physical needs and considerations while providing the fundamental teachings of yoga.  The  utilization of the breath (pranayama) in conjunction with  physical alignment and body awareness in the poses (asanas) restore and strengthen the body, spirit, mind connection.

Vinyasa  & Fluid Yoga

Vinyasa poses flow with the breath - a strong practice,  integrating breath and movement, inner and outer alignment, strength and flexibility in flowing motion. This type of practice involves a series of postures which, rising from the sun salutations, create heat; open and energize the body while providing a great work out.  The postures are fluid and weight bearing which sculpt muscle and build core strength while increasing flexibility and stamina. Vinyasa practice involves challenging, physical routines which appeal to both the fit person desiring to maintain and increase their fitness and endurance levels or to those desiring to improve their levels of fitness, flexibility and endurance rapidly.  This type of practice is most suited to experienced practitioners.

renew YOGA FITNESS HEALING is pleased to introduce Energy (Dahn) Yoga classes.
What is Dahn Yoga?
Dahn (Korean for energy) Yoga is a unique type of yoga that features simple exercises for the conditioning of the body and mind, that is suitable for people of all body types and ages.

The roots of Dahn Yoga extend several thousand years back in Korean history. It began as an ancient Korean training program to educate the population on how to develop both mind and body.  Up until two thousand years ago, this educational method was practised and transmitted by wisemen to each generation.  However, the Korean people failed to keep this tradition alive.

Founder, Ilchi Lee, originated Brain Education System Training (BEST) which seeks to enhance human potential through a variety of mind and body methods.  As president of the Korean Institute of Brain Science and chairman of the International Brain Education Association,  Lee has dedicated himself to the nurture and develoment of the human brain.  He is also founder of Dahn Yoga and the author of twenty-nine books.  Visit www.brainwavevibration.com for more information on the discoveries of this work.
